Spinnaker Sailing Club

Spinnaker Sailing Club is an inland sailing venue based at Blashford Lake, near Ringwood, Hampshire, on the western edge of the New Forest. Where Are We? Despite our beautiful rural position, we are conveniently located not far from the A31 and A338 and in easy driving distance of Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Salisbury, and Winchester. Our Origins Now part of the 189 hectare Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve, our lake was initially formed as a gravel pit, later becoming a Wessex Water reservoir. In 1958 Spinnaker Sailing Club was founded, and has been home to sailing enthusiasts since. What We Do Spinnaker Sailing Club is renowned for our contributions to the world of Team Racing, hosting high quality events and developing some of the finest Team Racers in the world, having previously been represented at the World Sailing Team Racing Championships. We have a very active Fleet Racing programme, and coach a wide variety of classes. Alongside this we host weekly Club Racing all year round. In addition to our racing programmes, Spinnaker Sailing Club is an RYA recognised training centre, and we run numerous RYA courses aimed at all ages and abilities throughout the year. Alongside our organised activities, our members enjoy being able to access the lake for recreational sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing.
