Endeavour Community Sailing, is a dynamic, growing program located in beautiful Bermuda creating opportunities for learning STEAM through Sailing both on and off the water. Endeavour inspires youth to experience the joys of sailing through supportive and fun instruction. Our team is growing and we’re seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Program Manager to join us and be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of experiential educational programs at our Sailing Forts. This position presents the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a fun, challenging, and dynamic team environment. Essential responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Community Sailing Manager and Program Development Manager.
  • Organise and manage the cross-curricular STEAM through Sailing education program for students of varying skill and experience levels whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Program Coordinator and Instructors.
  • Communicate with teachers including pre- and post-program follow-up correspondence.
  • Oversee daily operations at Endeavour Sailing centre ensuring safety procedures are posted, taught and followed by all team members.
  • Ensure a high standard of maintenance for all equipment, assets and facilities.
  • Ensure responsible operation and care of STEAM and educational assets.
  • Manage staff hours and internal operations at specific area of operation.
  • Lead programs in delivering taster sessions and educational activities as part of community outreach activities.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in successfully delivering a sports / recreation-based educational program to youth, preferably upper-primary and middle-school ages.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with communicating effectively with students as well as with parents and teachers providing feedback on students’ progress and attendance in sports/recreation-based educational program.
  • Excellent leadership, administrative and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing the procurement, maintainenance and inventory of materials and equipment for a sports/recreation-based educational program.
  • Required Qualifications.

    • RYA or US Sailing Senior Sailing Instructor or assessor based qualification.
    • Marine First Aid qualification
    • RYA Safety Boat Certificate (covering rescuing)
    • RYA or US sailing Powerboat Qualifications • Powerboat Instructor Qualification
    • VHF Radio Operators Course Completion – SRC VHF
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
